St. Peter's MHSS claims title

DINDIGUL SEPT. 14. St. Peter's Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kodaikanal claimed the title and the Vignesh Sports Trophy in the Dindigul District Schools Cricket league conducted by the Dindigul District Cricket Association with 30 points from its four games after it beat Thambi Thottam Higher Secondary School, Gandhigram by five wickets of G.T.N. Arts College ground here on Sunday.

The defending champion, Victory Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chinnalapatti finished runner-up with 18 points.

The scores: Thambi Thottam HSS 123 for five in 20 overs (Muthusaravanan 34, Chinnadurai 25) lost to St. Peter's Matriculation HSS, Kodaikanal 127 for five in 18.1 overs (Siju 38, Ranjith 25).

Victory Matriculation HSS, Chinnalapatti 181 for eight in 25 overs (N.Sangaran 59, Vignesh three for 20) bt Akshya Vidyalaya, Dindigul 98 in 18.2 overs (N.Sangaran four for eight, G.Siva Naganathan three for 30).

Victory MHSS 92 for four in 20 overs lost to Seventh Day Adventist Matriculation HSS, Dindigul 93 for five in 18.4 overs (Karthick 29 not out).
