Indo-Pak. talks should involve people too: Laloo

By Our Staff Correspondent

PATNA Sept. 15. The Rashtriya Janata Dal president, Laloo Prasad Yadav, today said that bringing harmony between India and Pakistan should not be left to the ruling class of the two countries alone.

Addressing a gathering here, Mr. Yadav said the dialogue process, initiated by the Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee, should involve the people also. Students, youth and political parties of the two nations should be involved in the dialogue process, he said.

On his recent visit to Pakistan, he said it (mission) did not end with that. The Rashtriya Janata Dal would consider the invitation of the Pakistan Muslim League for exchange of views on a party-to-party basis and take necessary follow-up action.
