Threat to Arafat condemned

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI SEPT. 15. The Congress and Left parties today condemned the threat of expulsion or execution issued by the Israeli Government to the Chairman of the Palestine authority, Yassar Arafat, and urged the Vajpayee Government to see that Israel Government was isolated in the comity of nations.

"Words are not adequate to condemn the outrageous stance of the Government of Israel" in threatening to expel or kill Mr. Arafat, the Congress said.

The CPI said it was "nothing but bullying''. In a statement, the party Central Secretariat said that even last year Israeli tanks had surrounded the headquarters of Mr. Arafat and tried to impose their dictates.
