According to police, Devika, daughter of a watchman at Tirumala apartments in Saidabad, Mallesh, went missing from their ground floor dwelling around 9.30 a.m. Her mother Radha had gone out on work and Mallesh had gone to one of the flats on an errand and on return found the girl missing. A complaint was lodged with the Saidabad police around 1 p.m. The girl's body was found in a nearby old building being used as a godown for storing fish around 5 p.m. A lorry driver, Satish, who walked into a bathroom in the building, found the girl's body lying inside and informed the police. The police said the girl could have been sexually assaulted as bloodstains were found in her undergarments. The body had been shifted to Osmania General Hospital.
