RayMedia, a London-based agency with holds the rights for all India ties jointly with the All India Tennis Association, says that its proposal to Doordarshan for live telecast has not been accepted this time by the premier Indian broadcaster. ``It is certainly disappointing, considering that we have done so much to bring Davis Cup tennis live to Indian fans over the last two or three years,'' said a spokesman for RayMedia. It is likely that Leander Paes's illness _ he will not be playing in the tie _ has influenced Doordarshan's decision but the RayMedia spokesman says that it would be difficult to accept the reason cited by Doordarshan (lack of funds). The singles matches begin at 3.30 p.m. IST on Friday and Sunday and the doubles will start at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
