Law panel constituted

New Delhi Sept. 16. The Government has constituted the 17th Law Commission with Justice M. Jagannadha Rao as Chairman.

He was the Chairman of the 16th Commission and he now gets a second three-year term up to August 31, 2006. N.M. Ghatate, who was a Member of the 16th Commission, has been appointed Vice-Chairman and S. Muralidhar, as part-time Member. T.K. Viswanathan, the present Secretary will continue to be the Member-Secretary.
