Medical seat vacancies

CHENNAI Sept. 16. A third phase of counselling will be held tomorrow for allotment/re-allotment of candidates into MBBS in government medical colleges in the residual vacancies, based on revised marks. The session will be held at the medical selection committee office, says a release from the committee secretary, Thiagavallai Kirubakaran.

The committee released the tentative vacancy position in the colleges. There is one SC seat lying vacant in the Madras Medical College; one OC seat each in the Stanley Medical College and the Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai; four OC, six BC, three MBC and two SC seats in the Madurai Medical College.

In the Thanjavur Medical College, three OC, four BC, two MBC, three SC seats are vacant, while in Chengalpattu it is three OC, two BC, three MBC, one SC and one ST seats. In Tirunelveli, the vacancy position was four OC, four BC, three MBC, one SC seats, in the Coimbatore Medical College three OC, three BC, two MBC and two SC seats, in the Government Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College, Salem, it is three OC, four BC, two MBC, one SC seats. In the Thoothukudi Medical College two BC and one MBC seats are vacant.
