Addressing a party function, he said he was not afraid of expressing the party's as well as his support to the LTTE. If any other organisation came forward to save the Tamils in the island the party would support them also. Neither he nor his party was the least worried about the consequences of the support to the LTTE, as principles were more sacrosanct to them than position or power, he added. The Union Minister of Handlooms, Gingee N. Ramachandran, said that the party would not compromise on its principles and would not remain in the NDA Government if it moved away from the common agenda.
