The board gave a personal hearing to the authorities of the club on September 4 following several complaints from the residents of the area and a direction from the High Court that it was duty bound to enforce the law. A writ petition was filed before the High Court by G.G. Padmashree and others, seeking directions to the authorities concerned to check the noise pollution by the club. In a statement, Ms. Padmashree said the board had sought the report from the club within a month from September 6. She said the club, situated at HAL 2nd Stage, had been causing intolerable noise pollution. The club had been conducting programmes in its open parking area at decibel levels beyond permitted levels late in the night. The kitchen exhausts being operated by the club and the generator sets were adding to the level of noise pollution, she added.
