U.P. poll officer removed

NEW DELHI SEPT. 17. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer, Ravindra Singh, is understood to have been replaced by the Election Commission.

Mr. Singh had been asked to hand over charge to the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer, R.G. Mourya. Sources said that the EC was not happy with Mr. Singh's performance.
