I am recovering well: Nehra

Chennai Sept. 18. Paceman Aashish Nehra is in Chennai to continue his injury rehabilitation programme with Indian team physio Andrew Leipus. The left-armer underwent an operation in South Africa during April this year for a troublesome right ankle.

He is not a part of the Rest of India team for the Irani Trophy, will miss the Test series against New Zealand, but hopes to be fit for the triangular ODI series involving, India, Australia and the Kiwis.

"I am recovering well. Actually, I don't feel any pain in the ankle now. Every day I am training with Leipus in the gym and at the ground. I have even started bowling. I should be all right in two to three weeks," he said here on Thursday. Nehra, who braved the injury to take part in the World Cup, claimed six for 23 in India's crucial group game against England.
