Journalist shot dead

Chandigarh Sept. 18. Parmanand Goyal, a journalist with the Punjab Kesari, was shot dead by three armed assailants in Kaithal (Haryana) this morning. Mr. Goyal was dragged out of his house and shot point-blank by the assailants, killing him on the spot.

Mr. Goyal is survived by wife and three children, including two sons.
