Vishwanath to be inducted into Hall of Fame

Bangalore Sept. 18. The United States Cricket Association in Hartford, Connecticut, would induct legendary cricketer G.R. Viswanath into Cricket's Hall of Fame on Sept. 27.

The former India cricket captain left here for US on Wednesday, his family sources told PTI.

Other greats who have been inducted into the Hall of Fame are Sunil Gavaskar, Sir Gary Sobers, Hanif Mohammed, Sir Vivian Richards, Wesley Hall and Clive Lloyd.

Viswanath, known as a gentleman cricketer, is currently an International Cricket Council Match Referee. — PTI
