CM's gesture to twins

SHIMOGA Sept. 18. The Chief Minister, S.M. Krishna, has offered to meet the hospital expenses of the premature twins who have been abandoned by their parents at a private hospital here.

Moved by the plight of the babies after they were shown on a Kannada TV news channel on Wednesday night, Mr. Krishna offered to meet the expenses from the CM's Relief Fund till they were restored to their parents. He instructed the Shimoga Deputy Commissioner, Tushar Girinath, to convey his offer to V. Kotturesha, the paediatrician who is looking after the babies in his hospital.
