Letters to the Editor
Sir, I refer to the editorial, "Monument and folly" ( Sept. 19 ). The folly in question is monumental. In the past also there have been several such allegations, enquiries and commissions probing charges of misappropriation of crores. But we have hardly come across any case ending in conviction.
R.K. Divakara,
Sir, Judicial activism witnessed in the course of a high-profile corruption case is welcome. The Judiciary has time and again proved that no one is above the law. Such bold indictment of the powers that be increases our faith in the system. But should the Judiciary not set a time frame for delivering the judgments in the cases where trials have been completed?
T.S. Padmanabhan,
