Duty on spices imports from Sri Lanka recommended

NEW DELHI SEPT. 19. The Union Ministry of Agriculture has recommended imposition of duty on cardamom, pepper and clove imports from Sri Lanka. At present there is zero duty on these commodities. The Ministry has recommended a duty of 70 per cent of the 75 per cent allowed under the WTO applied rate.
