Zaheera's sister leaves Vadodara

VADODARA SEPT. 19. Sahera, elder sister of the prime witness in the Best Bakery case, Zaheera Sheikh, had left the city ``bag and baggage" on Wednesday night along with her husband.

The Police Commissioner, S.K. Sinha, today told UNI that Ms. Sahera, who was the only member of the Sheikh family left in the city, had left as she wanted to visit her ailing mother-in-law in Madhubani district of Bihar.

Ms. Sahera and her husband, Abdul Kalamuddin, had the Police Commissioner in this regard.

On September 15, police protection was provided to the couple after Ms. Sahera made a statement before the media that she did not feel safe in Vadodara any longer.

Mr. Sinha ordered deployment of armed commandos to provide round-the-clock security cover to the poor couple staying in the Ektanagar area of the city.

He hoped that the couple would return to the city soon.
