Bus service inaugurated

DHAKA SEPT. 19. The Dhaka-Agartala bus service was flagged off today, opening a new surface route between India and Bangladesh after the Dhaka-Kolkata direct bus service opened nearly four years ago.

The Bangladesh Communication Minister, Nazmul Huda, and the Union Minister for Road and Transport and Highways, B.C. Khanduri, inaugurated the service here. The Bangladesh Foreign Minister, Morshed Khan, and the Tripura Chief Minister, Manik Sarkar, attended.
