Decision on Bench left to Chief Justice

Koppal Sept. 20. A meeting of various Bar associations held at Koppal today unanimously decided to leave the issue of establishing a permanent Bench of the High Court of Karnataka in North Karnataka to the discretion of the Chief Justice of the High Court, N.K. Jain.

The meeting was attended by the presidents and office-bearers of the Bar associations of Hubli, Dharwad, Bijapur, Bagalkot, Gadag, and Haveri districts and presided over by Asif Ali of the Koppal Bar Association.

However, the Bar associations of Gulbarga, Bidar, Raichur, and Bellary districts did not attend the meeting.
