Growers threaten stir

MADIKERI SEPT. 20. The Karnataka Growers' Federation has threatened to launch an agitation against banks, which it said had been forcibly recovering loans from coffee growers in the State. The federation alleged that despite knowing about the financial difficulties of coffee growers, certain banks had been giving them notices for loan repayment. Some banks had also threatened to move the court against the growers.
