CHENNAI SEPT. 20. Rainfall occurred at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and south Tamil Nadu. Isolated rainfall occurred over Rayalaseema, Kerala, north Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cms are: Kaikalur (Krishna dt.) 5, Mayiladuthurai (Nagapatnam dt.), Bapatla, Mandasa (Srikakulam dt.) and Tiruvannamalai 3 each, Kaleshwaram (Karimnagar dt.), Koilakuntla (Kurnool dt.) and Ongole 1 each.

FORECAST (Valid until Monday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep, Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Kerala.
