Cheshire Home Silver Jubilee fete from Oct. 1

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM Sept. 20. The Silver Jubilee of the Cheshire Home would be celebrated with a variety of programmes from October 1 to 7.

The veteran actress, Aranmula Ponnamma, would inaugurate the celebrations. Playback singer, K. J. Jesudas, and the actors, Suresh Gopi, Maniyan Pillai Raju, Madhupal and Baiju, would take part in a face-to-face session with the inmates on October 2 followed by a discussion on "physical disabilities and mental health''.

Discussions on "problems for women in rehabilitation'', "family, society and government'', quiz programmes, comedy show, ganamela and dance would also be organised as part of the celebrations. The Mayor, J. Chandra, would inaugurate the valedictory meeting on October 7.
