Woman found murdered

Hyderabad Sept. 20. A 35-year-old woman, Laxmi, was found murdered in the bushes in New Dilsukhnagar area under the Saroornagar police station limits, on Saturday. It is suspected that the woman was raped and later strangulated to death by unidentified persons on Friday night.

A daily-wage earner, the victim had been living on the pavement in Dilsukhnagar area for the last two years along with her two sons, Ramesh (9) and Rajesh (7). Locals said she migrated to the city from Kurnool after her husband, Ramesh, reportedly abandoned her. On Friday night, Laxmi was seen with her two sons at around 11 p.m. The next morning, her body was found lying in bushes. The case is under investigation.

Body found in plastic bag

A highly decomposed body of an unidentified man aged about 40 years, suspected to have been murdered, a week ago was found concealed in plastic bag in an abandoned house, beside a public toilet near Barkatpura Chaman, on Saturday. Passers-by informed the police about the bag following foul smell emanating from it. When it was opened the body was totally decomposed. The tailor's label on the shirt suggested that it was stitched in Chaderghat area. The victim is suspected to be a rag picker. The Kachiguda police are investigating the case.

In another case, an unidentified man aged around 35 years was found killed near the Hasmathpet tank under the Alwal police station area on Saturday. Knife injuries on the chest and bruises on head were found. The victim was clad in blue striped lungi and a black shirt.
