Madhavan Nair is ISRO chief

BANGALORE Sept. 21. The Appointments Committee of the Union Cabinet issued orders on September19, confirming G. Madhavan Nair, in the post of Secretary, Department of Space.

Mr. Nair told The Hindu here on Sunday that he has also been confirmed in the posts of Chairman, Space Commission, and Chairman, Indian Space Research Organisation.

Mr. Nair had been given the posts on September 1 as an interim measure, following the nomination of K. Kasturirangan, his predecessor to the Rajya Sabha.
