`Sants will mobilise support for Ayodhya march'

NEW DELHI SEPT. 21. Coinciding with the onset of the Ram Lila celebrations, the Sangh Parivar today finalised its strategy for the October 15 "Ayodhya chalo abhiyan" (Ayodhya march programme) which would kick off with 91 sants making a countrywide tour to galvanise the support of Ram devotees.

The international general secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Pravin Togadia, told the UNI after a crucial meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and the VHP here that the sants would conduct more than 3,000 "sankalp sabhas" during the tour in the run-up to the march.

He said the meeting was attended by top RSS leaders, including H.V. Sheshadri and Madan Das Devi, and around 700 activists. "Ek vyapak jan jagran ki yojna benayi gayi."

(A comprehensive strategy to garner support for the movement was decided by the RSS and the VHP).
