Letters to the Editor
Sir, It is disturbing to see the despair of the Kashmiri youth who, unable to fulfil certain norms set by society, fall prey to terrorist designs ("Jehadi groups step up recruitment of children", Sept. 20 ). The Kashmiri children cannot be measured by normal yardsticks. They are struggling to survive in a violence-ridden environment. I suggest that the Government and NGOs come up with special rehabilitation schemes to help students in the Valley.
Vijaya Somasundaram,
