Fitting tribute

Sir, — It was gratifying to read about Rt. Hon. Srinivasa Sastri, "the tallest among the tall patriots" as Gandhiji called him ("He did the English language proud", Sept. 19). The article is a fitting tribute to the memory of the silver-tongued Sastri, who mesmerised the English speaking world with his spellbinding speeches.
