Naxals kill TDP sarpanch

ANANTAPUR SEPT.22. Naxalites belonging to the People's War killed the sarpanch of Ganthimarri village of Ramagiri mandal in Anantapur district, Ravindra Reddy of the TDP, at his native Penubolu village last night. The Superintendent of Police, Anil Kumar, said four naxalites went to Mr. Ravindra Reddy around 10.30 pm when he was sitting along with his brother-in-law, Ramana Reddy, at his house under construction. They took him forcibly at gunpoint.

The naxalites had raided and ransacked his house last year.
