Buses for Brahmotsavam

TIRUPATI SEPT. 22. The annual Bramothsavam at Tirumala hardly five days away, preparations are being made by the TTD and all other departments to cope with the festival crowd.

For the 9-day fete, the TTD has purchased two tableau-like buses to ferry pilgrims on the hills. The buses were supplied to the TTD by Ashok Leyland Company, for Rs.13 lakhs each and they would to be pressed into service on September 27. The buses are equipped with television sets to show various rituals performed inside the temple.
