F.C. Sharma dead

CHENNAI SEPT. 22. The former Tamil Nadu Director-General of Police, F.C. Sharma, died today after a brief illness. He was 63.

He was admitted to a private hospital at Porur here and the end came around noon today, the police said.

A 1964 batch IPS officer, Mr. Sharma retired as DGP in October 2000 after 32 years of service. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
