This Day That Age
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tata Industries, Mr. J.R.D. Tata, arrived in New York on the 21st. His programme was to go to Milwakee to receive the award for Outstanding Management Man of the Year from the National Association of Foremen. Following that, he planned to visit Burbank in California to inspect progress on two Super-Constellation planes being built for delivery to Air India in 1954. The most important of Mr. Tata's engagements was attending meetings of the International Air Transport Association in Montreal, followed by the General Body scheduled for the 5th of October.
