Letters to the Editor
Sir, Asked if their relatives in Karachi had heard about what happened in Gujarat last year, a Gujarati couple travelling with Kalpana Sharma in the Delhi-Lahore bus replied in the affirmative ("In an unsafe world", Sept. 21 ). Had they also heard about the torching of a train and the killing of 58 innocent women and children or only about the violence that followed?
N. Subramaniam,
* * * Sir, The focus on the Best Bakery case and Mr. Advani's discharge in the Babri Masjid case is understandable. But it will be interesting to see whether the real culprits of the Marad killings in Kerala are brought to justice.
J. Akshobhya,
