BJP chief talks of Pakistan's 'double standards'
By Our Staff Reporter
TIRUPUR
Sept. 23.
The West should realise at least now that Pakistan adopts double standards on terrorism, the BJP president, M. Venkaiah Naidu, said here today. "It (Pakistan) battled terrorism on its western border but supported it across the eastern border."
Addressing the general council of the BJP's Tamil Nadu unit here, Mr. Naidu called upon the Western countries to rein in Pakistan, describing it the headquarters of the Al-Qaeda, the Taliban and other terrorist organisations.
Reports on the presence of the underworld don, Dawood Ibrahim, in Karachi should enable these countries to know that Pakistan had only been pretending so far that he was not hiding in that country, he said.
