RBI Dy. Governor gets further extension

MUMBAI
SEPT. 23
. The Union Government has granted an extension in service to Vepa Kamesam, Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank of India.
The extension has been granted for three months from September 24, beyond the age of superannuation of 62 years, stated a press release issued here today by the RBI.
Mr. Kamesam was originally appointed as Deputy Governor of the RBI on July 1, 2001, for two years. He was reappointed as Deputy Governor of the RBI from July 1 to September 23 in June this year till he attained the age of 62 years.
