MADURAI: Rajshree Ford inaugurated its new showroom/workshop here on Tuesday, in keeping with its plan to start state-of-the-art facilities for every 150 to 200 km in the State, to cater to the spare parts/servicing requirements of a "widening consumer base". The facility has the capacity to service 33 vehicles a day. It is in addition to the already existing facilities of computerised wheel aligner, AC gas charging facility and Ford's world diagnostic system. Randy Shockley, Vice-The President, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India, told presspersons that Ford Ikon was the leader in the `C' segment, and added that one lakh units had been sold so far. The patronage for Ford cars of the diesel variants in the Madurai region was encouraging. The company, he said, recently upgraded its Tiruchi facility. By Our Staff Reporter
