New NLC director

CUDDALORE: A. R. Ansari, who has hitherto been occupying the position of General Manager (Mines), Neyveli Lignite Corporation, has been posted as Director (Planning and Projects), NLC, according to a release from the NLC. He assumed the new office on September 19. Mr. Ansari was instrumental in the completion of the two projects — expansion of Mine-1 and Mine-1A. He is also holding the post of president of the Jawahar Education Society and the Bharatiya Kala Sangam Samithi. — Our Special Correspondent
