Speaking to newsmen here, Mr. Rosaiah pointed out that for the `hi-tech Chief Minister' it should be possible to get the details regarding the worth of stamps issued and the value of registrations and other details by just pressing two buttons of a computer. According him, never in the past had a Government faced so many scams as was the case with the eight years rule of the TDP Government under N. Chandrababu Naidu. The stamp scam was preceded by scams such as Food-for-work scam, stationary purchases, scholarships distribution and tenders. Cabinet colleagues of Mr. Naidu like Devender Goud, Ashok Gajapathi Raju had conceded 20 per cent irregularities in the execution of the FFW programme whose total worth was Rs. 3,200 crores. So misappropriation to the tune of more than Rs. 600 crores was evident, but the Chief Minister never cared to order an enquiry into such huge irregularities, Mr. Rosaiah said. The TDP Government had "scant respect'' for judicial pronouncements as was evident from its reaction in the case of its Housing Minister, R. Ramsubba Reddy. On the contrary, the Chief Minister and the DGP had announced that "no others from the State'' were involved in the fake stamps scam. What was the basis for a such a pronouncement, he asked.
