Announcing this during the 23rd governing council meeting of the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) here yesterday, Railway Board Chairman R.K. Singh said the board had decided to provide computers with internet facilities in the Air-Conditioned coaches of some selected trains from the current financial year. He said the decision to give internet services was taken in view of providing the passengers with hi-tech facilities along with some entertainment. "Modalities like trains in which the service would be introduced and the expenditure on the project were being worked out," he added. Mr. Singh while appreciating the role of the RDSO in the safety aspect of the Indian Railways, said the organsiation had prepared fish-plates which could not be tampered with easily while coaches with crash-worthiness, anti-climbing and fire-proof features were under tests.
