Kerala-Thiruvananthapuram
By Our Staff Reporter
In a statement here today by the KGMCTA, its secretary, K.S. Manoj, has stated that training in radiotherapy was essential for MBBS students. Moreover, the post-graduate MD course in cancer treatment, which is now available only in the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College would loose its recognition if the cancer wing were closed down, he said. Mr. Manoj said that the Government had been misled by some people with vested interests who claimed that the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) was a part of the Medical College. Since the RCC is not under the control of the Medical Education Director, it does not have the recognition of the University of Kerala.
