No CBI probe: Poojary

BANGALORE Sept. 27. The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president, B. Janardhana Poojary, has said there is no question of referring the stamp paper scam to the CBI as "there is not even an iota of evidence" against any Minister from the State as reportedly alleged by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Friday.

Mr. Poojary was responding to questions related to Mr. Naidu's reported charge against a Minister in the S. M. Krishna Government, at a press conference here today.

Defending the Government's stand, Mr. Poojary said it was illogical to indict a Minister or anybody without evidence just because some of his relatives were involved in a crime.
