Joshi consults lawyers

By Our Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI SEPT. 27. The Union Human Resource Development Minister, Murli Manohar Joshi, who had tendered his resignation from the Council of Ministers, today consulted lawyers on what steps should be taken in relation to the Rae Bareilly court order of September 19 indicating that he, along with six others, would be served with a chargesheet in the Babri Masjid demolition case on October 10.

When and how the legal petition for a review of the order would be filed would be decided by his lawyers, he said. There is an indication that as of now the view is crystallising in favour of individual petitions being filed by the accused rather than a collective petition by the seven Bharatiya Janata Party and Sangh leaders who are the accused in the case.

A large group of party workers and other supporters from Uttaranchal came to meet Dr. Joshi at his residence today.
