Uttaranchal
By Our Staff Correspondent
Talking to a delegation of eminent artists led by the Minister of State for Industrial Development, Kishore Upadhyay, today, Mr Tiwari said that representation of all sections of artists would be ensured while forming the Academy. Budgetary provisions were being made for the same and artists could expect something pleasant in the near future. The artists also wanted the government to allocate more funds for the sustainability of folk arts as that could act as a major attraction for tourists. A number of ancient folk arts were near extinction and unless immediate efforts were made to revive them, these arts would soon become a thing of the past, they said.
