Congress decline

Sir, — The Ernakulam by-election result is a reflection of the political scene in Kerala. The infighting and group politics in the Congress has taken its toll.

Sir, — It is ironical that the Congress leadership in Delhi is sending fact-finding missions to States where it has lost ground, when the party president, Sonia Gandhi, herself is the reason for the debacle.
