Letters to the Editor
Sir, During The Hindu's centenary celebrations, my father and I were reading the paper; today when it is in its 125th year, my son and I are reading it. I hope during its 150th anniversary, my son and my grandchild will be reading The Hindu. D.J.C. Barnes, Madurai, T.N. * * * Sir, Though your paper covers all important news items, I feel there should be wider coverage of news from the northeast. Rojendrakar Nongthomba, Delhi * * * Sir, In terms of layout, font usage and quality of printing, The Hindu is better than many papers in the United States. There is no gainsaying the fact that my English is what it is today, due in large part to regular reading of The Hindu. But over the last decade, balance has been lacking in your coverage. Your report on Sonia Gandhi's speech in Parliament is a classic example. Hareesh Janakiraman, Houston, U.S. * * * Sir, Though I studied in the Tamil medium up to school final, today I am proud of my English compared to the present generation studying in English medium schools. Credit goes to The Hindu editorials. Alarmelu Rishi, Chennai
