`I' group activists take out march

KOZHIKODE SEPT. 30. `I' group activists of the Congress took a march to the City Police Commissioner's office here today to protest against the alleged high-handedness on the part of the police against `I' group workers here on Monday.

The police had resorted to a mild lathicharge to disperse `I' and `A' group activists who clashed here on Monday evening.

The march was stopped by the police at the office of the Deputy Director of Education near the Commissioner's office.

The District Congress Committee (DCC) president, M. Veerankutty, inaugurated the march. The DCC vice-president, K. Ramachandran Master, M.T. Padma and E.K. Gopalan were among those who spoke on the occasion.
