More meteorite pieces collected

By Our Staff Reporter

BHUBANESWAR SEPT. 3. More pieces of the meteorite that dazzled the Orissa sky on Saturday evening have been collected from two villages in the Mahakalpada block of the Kendrapara district.

At least three pieces — two from Paschim Suniti village and one from Benakanda village — have been collected, official sources said. The biggest piece, weighing about 5.7 kgs, was found from the paddy fields in Suniti village.

The Kendrapara district administration was yet to hand over the fragments of the meteorite to any government organisation for examination.
