Rain likely in Tamil Nadu CHENNAI SEPT. 30. Rainfall occurred at a few places over north Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, Telangana, South interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep. Isolated rainfall occurred over south Tamil Nadu and coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Palacode (Dharmapuri dt.) recorded a heavy rainfall of 7 cms.

The other chief amounts of rainfall recorded in cms: Denkanikottai (Dharmapuri dt.) and Arogyavaram 6 each, Salem and Valparai 5 each, Dharmapuri, Omalur (Salem dt.) and Sidlagatta (Kolar dt.) 4 each.

FORECAST (Valid until Thursday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Coastal and south interior Karnataka. Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Andhra Pradesh and north interior Karnataka.
