Naxalite leader killed in encounter

KARIMNAGAR SEPT. 30. The CPI-ML Janashakthi group Bhupalapalli area organiser, Mallaiah alias Balanna (35), was killed in an alleged encounter with the police on the Medipalli village outskirts of Kataram mandal on Tuesday morning.

Reports reaching here said that on credible information about naxalite movement, the police launched combing operations. On seeing the police, naxalites opened fire and the police retaliated killing one naxalite.
