2 constables abducted

ANANTAPUR SEPT. 30. Naxalites of the People's War abducted two policemen belonging to the Ramagiri police station in Anantapur district from Peruru village this morning. They freed one constable in the afternoon.

According to the police, the constables — Chandrasekhar and Hanumanthu — went to Peruru. They swooped on them and led them out of the village at gunpoint.

Hanumanthu was freed in the afternoon.
