Andhra Pradesh-Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Sept. 30. The 2003 CSIR young scientist award in Earth, Atmosphere, Ocean and Planetary sciences has been awarded to V.M. Tiwari of the National Geophysical Research Institute. According to a press release, Dr. Tiwari has made significant contributions in studying the behaviour and evolutionary processes of different geological terrains of Indian lithosphere. The Union Minister of State for Science and Technology, Bachi Singh Rawat, presented the award to Dr. Tiwari in New Delhi on Sept. 26. Dr. Tiwari has published 15 research papers in refereed journals and submitted eight technical reports to industries.
